600 Model Violin Case - Ruby

LeRoy & Dorothy standing on case

My wife Dorothy !

OUR MODEL 6OO IS  "OUR TOP OF THE LINE CASE"

We no longer make the 100 Model

Our new wood bending system is vastly better than our previous system. We can now laminate 6 layers of wood to form the top & the walls thus creating a nearly indestructible case!

You can stand on It! sit on it! . . . and throw it around!!

LeRoy graduated with a violin major from college. He then Studied stringed instrument repairing from Hans Weisshaar In Los Angeles, and Hamma in Germany. He had his own violin shop in Seattle, Wa. for about 10 years. When Isaac Stern saw this case in New York he called LeRoy. A few months latter they met at his shop and discussed cases. He loved the "suspension" idea. He thought that was the greatest thing since "Pizza" ! With his encouragement we started to focus in on Violin cases. The rest is now history.

With this background he is expertly equipped to understand how to best protect your instrument within the case, and to create a beautiful interior in which to best display your  " TREASURED INSTRUMENT ". From a repairmans point of view your instrument is safely & firmly held in place between foam cushions, & at  the neck by a Velcro strap-(the Weber Suspension System).

There is app. A ½ INCH PLUS space between the bridge and the top of the case. There is also ample space between the floor of the case and the back of the Instrument to prevent any damage in case of an accident. The total weight of the 600 Model is app. 6.5 To 7 pounds.

The placement of the D-rings is such that you can carry the case on your back as a backpack. . . thus leaving your hands free to ride a bike or carry Other items!

From the players point of view our create your own case Is a new approach to designing the look of the interior of your case. You send us the fabric and the ribbons of your choice - we will install whatever you would like us to create.

A one of a kind case!!.

When choosing your fabric get . . .

  • Thickness of fabric - - like cotton velvet is your best. What ever you choose- just keep the thickness about cotton velvet thickness. If the fabric is to thin - the glue bleeds through. If to thick - it is hard to make it good around the corners of the pockets plus it really adds some weight.
  • Send in 2 yards for interior if single color (includes blanket)
  • If two toned interior, then send 1.5 yds. each color
  • Ribbons. . .send 4.5 yds. of grograin (a kind or type of ribbon)
  • Violin sack. . .1.5 yds. of satin or fabric of your choice
  • Blanket. . . your choice of fabric & color if you want it different from the rest of case. Get 12 inches wide and whatever the width of the fabric is.

Please call (706) 965 3372 or cell (706) 459 4303, to discuss your plan.

Since we are approaching 75 years of age, We now deal only with individuals.
