THERE IS A SPECIAL WICK IN THE TUBE which emits moisture when the humidity is low.

THE GUAGE TELLS YOU WHAT THE HUMIDITY IS.
50 on the guage is 'perfect'.
30 on the guage indicates urgent need for water! simply hold tube under water for 30 seconds.
